XRP rebounded to about $1.374 on Tuesday after Monday's pullback, as derivatives positioning improved. Moving-average resistance and weak momentum still limit the near-term outlook.
XRP traded around $1.374 on Tuesday, showing signs of stabilization after the previous day's correction. Differing funding rates suggest traders remain divided about how strong the recovery is.
Derivatives show a modest tilt toward longs
CoinGlass data put XRP's long-to-short ratio at 1.09 on Tuesday. A reading above one indicates longs outnumber shorts among the tracked accounts or positions, though positioning alone does not confirm prices will keep rising.
However, the funding rate tells a different story. It turned negative on Monday and stood at -0.0055% on Tuesday. Negative funding means short traders pay long traders, which suggests continued demand for bearish exposure.
XRP trades below two key moving averages
At $1.374, XRP sits below its 200-day EMA at $1.381 and its 50-day EMA at $1.395. Those levels form the first resistance barriers. The token holds above its 100-day EMA at $1.339, which gives nearby support, but trading beneath the other two averages leaves the short-term bias bearish.
Momentum indicators back the cautious view. The Relative Strength Index is near 40, which indicates subdued buying momentum without reaching outright oversold territory, and the MACD also remains negative.
Levels to watch above and below
A sustained recovery above $1.381 and $1.395 would ease immediate technical pressure, with more distant horizontal resistance at $1.671 and $1.900. On the downside, the 100-day EMA at $1.339 is the first support, followed by $1.300.
A sustained break below $1.300 would weaken the recovery structure and bring the deeper support area around $1.000 into focus.
