XRP Ledger's transactions per ledger jumped 187.9% to 189.29, coinciding with XRP's breakout from around $1.00 to $1.41. The surge sits alongside a 74.4% drop in closed ledgers and weaker account creation, so the network picture is mixed even as price holds above its long-term moving average.
Transactions per ledger jump 187.9%
XRP Ledger's transactions per ledger climbed 187.9% to 189.29, the sharpest move among the network's activity indicators. Payments also rose, up 19.3% to roughly 568,100, pointing to sustained transactional demand.
But the underlying picture needs qualifying. Successful transactions fell 16.3% to 914,100. The number of closed ledgers fell even harder, down 74.4% to 5,300.
Therefore, the jump in transactions per ledger is partly mechanical: fewer ledger closes combined with continued transaction activity mean each ledger carries more transactions on average.
Account activity pulls in different directions
Account statistics are similarly inconsistent. Active accounts decreased 64.5% to 4,800. Newly created accounts fell 77.7% to just 463. Yet active users remain elevated at approximately 478,300, up 157%.
Payment volume tells a different story again. Even though the number of payments increased, volume dropped 82.2% to roughly 70.8 million XRP, implying more individual payments at a much lower average value. Transaction fees also fell, with XRP burned dropping 67.5% to 92.2 XRP.
Price holds above its long-term average
Following a breakout from roughly $1.00, XRP is trading at $1.41. That is a retrace from a recent $1.70 spike. Even so, the price remains above its long-term moving average at about $1.35. The RSI has cooled to about 68 after briefly entering overbought territory, easing some of the immediate overheating.
Not every aspect of XRPL activity is growing despite the headline 187.9% increase. The network instead shows weaker account creation and payment value alongside higher transaction density and stronger payment counts. Holding the $1.35–$1.40 region would preserve the structural breakout and leave another attempt at $1.50–$1.70 possible.
