The XRP Ledger has logged more than 14 million transactions tied to AI agents, but the money behind them is small. Crypto Briefing and The Motley Fool both point to a wide gap between transaction counts and settlement value, and to heavy concentration in a single service.
As of October 19, 2026, the XRPL AI Hub had logged 14,547,668 transactions tied to AI agents using the x402 payment protocol. Cumulative settlements across those payments came to just 7,010.24 XRP and 16,509.25 RLUSD.
Agent transactions climb from 1 million to nearly 14.5 million
The XRPL AI Hub data shows agent transactions at roughly 1 million in July 2026. By early October, that number had passed 10 million.
Daily activity has spiked at points, and peak days have topped 600,000 transactions. The payments are spread across 173 merchants, and the Heurist Inference Router alone processed close to 10 million transactions in mid-October 2026.
The XRPL AI Starter Kit, which gives developers tooling to build agents that transact on the ledger, launched on June 9, 2026. Facilitator t54.ai, meanwhile, raised a $5 million seed round backed by Ripple and Franklin Templeton.
Payments worth $33,506 in total
Motley Fool puts the collective value of 14.6 million agent payments at $33,506 as of Oct. 27. It says the Heurist Inference Router accounted for 10.4 million of them, or 71%, billed in Ripple USD.
RippleX's engineering lead, J. Ayo Akinyele, is aiming for 100 million agent payments, though he specified no time frame. Motley Fool adds that 195.2 million payments totaling $42.2 million settled on other blockchains as of Oct 27.
Little upside for XRP holders so far
Agents paying in RLUSD, a stablecoin, need XRP only for fees, according to Motley Fool. All 14.6 million agent payments have destroyed only about 146 XRP, or $193, through fee burns, which Motley Fool calls the only mechanism holders have for upside.
Crypto Briefing also flags the concentration risk: if one router drives the bulk of transactions, a change in that operator's strategy could reshape the network's agent statistics quickly. Motley Fool concludes that agent transactions probably won't be economically meaningful to investors for quite some time, if ever.
