XRP Ledger network data shows a sharp split: active users and per-ledger transaction density have jumped by roughly 200%, while total transaction counts, new accounts, and payment volume have all fallen. XRP itself trades near $1.37, holding above its 200-day moving average after an August breakout from $1.00 to $1.70.
Activity concentrates, doesn't broaden
XRP Ledger's network metrics moved in opposite directions at once. Active users climbed 211% to roughly 498,200, the sharpest gain among the metrics tracked, while transactions per ledger rose 191.3% to reach 191.68. Together, the numbers point to more activity packed into each ledger the network closes, rather than a broad-based expansion.
Payment activity held up too: the number of payments rose 5% to about 540,700. But the rest of the picture runs the other way.
Other metrics retreat
Several headline figures declined even as the activity metrics surged. Successful transactions fell 31.3% to 697,300, while total transactions dropped 42.7% to 771,300. Newly created accounts fell 85.2% to just 340, and active accounts dropped 73.1% to about 3,800.
The clearest contradiction sits in payment volume. Total payment volume fell 89.2% to approximately 45.2 million XRP even as the number of payments increased, and transaction fees dropped 79.3%. Therefore, the near-200% spikes in active users and transaction density should not be read as proof that every part of the network is expanding at once.
Price holds above its long-term average
The price structure offers a more direct bullish signal. XRP rose from roughly $1.00 to $1.70 during its August breakout and now trades close to $1.37.
Crucially, at $1.35, XRP remains slightly above its 200-day moving average. The move came with a roughly 103% increase in trading volume, which strengthened the breakout and the ongoing struggle around long-term resistance. The $1.35 area is now the level to watch: holding above the 200-day average would keep the broader reversal structure intact, and a recovery toward $1.45 to $1.50 could rekindle upward momentum.
