Crypto markets stayed range-bound this week as Bitcoin failed to break above $80,000. VeChain led altcoin gains with a 25% surge, Solana and Rain also advanced, while Stable and Arbitrum posted the sharpest losses.

Bitcoin was unable to break above $80,000 even after a strong rebound during the last week of August, and the rest of the market turned in a mixed performance as traders took profits. Funds kept rotating among a handful of altcoins, however, fueling the overall market value.

VeChain's rally still has room to run

VeChain (VET) led the week's winners with a 25% surge that pushed it above $0.07, a level it had not crossed since mid-May. Coming after last week's 30% rally, the token has gained over 50% in under 14 days.

Despite that pace, the RSI stays below the overbought level, which suggests VET has not reached an excessively overextended point. If the rally extends, the token could pierce the $0.08 threshold before facing profit-taking pressure.

Rain and Solana diverge from the pack

Rain (RAIN) came in second with a 22% rally, marking four consecutive weeks of gains. That has pushed its weekly RSI into overextended territory, a setup that previously triggered a correction in mid-June. Still, a move toward $0.02 could come into play if the broader market keeps consolidating, though the advance is unlikely to be linear.

Solana took third place with a 10% rally that followed a 28% gain the previous week. Unlike the broader altcoin rotation, its move appears driven by Solana-specific momentum, and with the RSI yet to reach overextended territory, a move toward $110 looks probable in the near term.

Stable and Arbitrum lead the weekly losses

Stable (STABLE) topped the losers with a 13% correction that pushed the price below $0.03, erasing the gains recorded since the April cycle. The token is now heading toward the $0.02 support that triggered a 50% rebound in April, and with its RSI still far from oversold, it could correct further before buyers return.

Arbitrum (ARB) took the second spot among losers for the second time, with an 11% correction that followed last week's 37% rally. The bears have driven the price below the $0.105 resistance level, and with the RSI still far from oversold, further downside risk remains if the $0.07 support fails to hold.
