Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Co posted NT$511.86 billion ($16.03 billion) in September revenue, up 54.6% from a year earlier on surging AI chip demand, though sales slipped 0.6% from August. Shares still closed 1.35% lower ahead of the release, and the company reports third-quarter earnings next week.
Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Co posted September revenue of NT$511.86 billion ($16.03 billion), up 54.6% from a year earlier but down 0.6% from August. Its third-quarter revenue came in around NT$1.49 trillion.
The stock closed 1.35% lower ahead of the monthly release. TSMC counts Nvidia and Apple among its customers and has been a major beneficiary of surging demand for advanced AI chips.
The company is also pushing its own manufacturing further: in September, it committed to using ASML's High NA extreme ultraviolet lithography machines, a key technology for producing more advanced chips, joining Samsung Electronics among customers adopting it. It is scheduled to report its third-quarter earnings next week.
