Tokenized real-world assets (RWAs) pushed past $38 billion this week, with total value locked reaching $38.17 billion on Aug. 9, 2026. That leaves the sector $1.83 billion shy of the $40 billion mark, after the market first crossed $38 billion on Aug. 6.
U.S. Treasury Debt Leads at $16.21 Billion
U.S. Treasury debt commands the largest share of the tokenized real-world asset market, with $16.21 billion in total value locked across 87 products and 63,010 unique holders. Circle's USYC fund tops the list with $3 billion, followed by BlackRock's BUIDL fund at $2.68 billion and Ondo's U.S. Dollar Yield fund at $2.14 billion.
Franklin Templeton's iBENJI holds $1.72 billion, while the Janus Henderson Treasury Fund and Invesco's Short Duration U.S. Government Sec fund trail at $882.30 million and $813.86 million, respectively.
Credit Climbs While Non-U.S. Debt Retreats
Tokenized credit's distributed value climbed to $7.30 billion, up 1.63%, while represented value rose 3.65% to $36.77 billion across 2,543 assets, led by Syrup USDC. Non-U.S. government debt moved the opposite way, sliding 7.78% over the past 30 days to $1.28 billion across 24 assets, with Spiko's EU T-Bill fund the largest holding.
Holder Base Widens Across the Board
Tokenized stocks' distributed value rose 5.10% to $2.37 billion, and monthly transfer volume jumped 138.45% to $20.72 billion even as active addresses fell 16.36% to 355,222. Holders in that category still surged 117.93% to 1.09 million.
Across the whole tokenization push into traditional finance, the investor base climbed 56.18% over the past month to 1,701,650 holders. Tokenized commodities added to that momentum too, with distributed value up 4.07% to $4.88 billion and active addresses up 124.42% to 84,505, led by Tether Gold.
