XRP

Spot XRP ETFs pulled in $153.54 million over nine straight days of inflows, taking this month's total to $157 million, even as XRP fell 8.50% over the past week to $1.38. Whale positioning on Hyperliquid stays divided between long and short bets, and the token's so-called supercycle now hinges on holding above $1.10.

Spot XRP ETFs have logged nine consecutive days of inflows, pulling in $153.54 million over the streak. The largest single-day inflow of August reached $28.14 million. As a result, the month's total inflows now stand at $157 million, putting the products on track for their third best month since launch.

ETF inflows near 2% of XRP supply

Collectively, XRP ETF net inflows account for 1.63% of the altcoin's circulating supply. In the past 24 hours alone, the products recorded $26.20 million in net inflows, with Bitwise's fund leading at $11.17 million. Canary, Franklin, and 21Shares followed with $3.71 million, $2.17 million, and $1.95 million, respectively, while Grayscale recorded no activity.

Yet the ETF inflows have not stopped XRP's price from cooling. The token trades near $1.38, down over 8.50% over the past seven days after peaking at $1.70.

Whales split between long and short bets

Despite the inflow streak, whales remain unconvinced on a supercycle. Some are going long while others are shorting the token, according to the largest positions in the Hyperliquid wallet analysis. One whale sits at $8.89 million in unrealized profit after buying 35 million XRP with 10x leverage valued at $48.46 million, a position with a liquidation price of $0.9364.

Other long orders were valued at $12.41 million and $9.27 million, both using 20x leverage. One whale shorted 11.06 million XRP valued at $15 million using 5x leverage. Most of the top 30 orders on the Hyperliquid DEX were short, and most positions were profitable unless entered below $1.38.

What bulls need to hold

On the charts, XRP trades above a slanting trendline, with the 20-day and 50-day moving averages having posted a cross. However, the price is approaching those averages after falling from $1.70 to $1.38. Transaction volume is averaging 814.35 million XRP, well below this year's peak of 3.752 billion XRP, while the Bull Bear Power indicator's bars have been declining, pointing to weakening momentum.

For the supercycle narrative to stay alive, bulls need to keep XRP above the moving-average cross at $1.10.
