The S&P 500 holds near unchanged after holding near short-term support, while the Nasdaq rebounds to a 0.3% gain following a break of its own support level. The S&P touched a fresh record high this week, though it fell short of its trendline target, and the Nasdaq remains below its own all-time high.
The S&P 500 is near unchanged after holding near short-term intraday support. Meanwhile, the Nasdaq survived a break below its own support level and bounced back to a gain of about 0.30%.
Earlier this week, the S&P 500 climbed to a record high of 7,793.68, though it fell just short of its topside trendline target. The Nasdaq remains below its all-time high of 27,190.21, with this week's peak reaching 26,788.62.
That gap leaves additional upside levels in play for the Nasdaq, even as the S&P holds just below its own topside target.
