Russia's A7 platform has announced a service that lets customers pay foreign invoices in USDT while recipients get SWIFT bank transfers. The launch comes less than two weeks after US sanctions on the A7 Network, and A7 has not named the banks involved.

A7 says its new A7 International service will let customers settle foreign invoices in USDT while recipients receive money through conventional SWIFT transfers. The company plans to present it on October 13 and will charge a fixed 0.3% fee.

Customers pay with Tether's USDT, and A7 arranges for the recipient to get a standard bank transfer in the required currency. The platform primarily targets foreign trade businesses, though individuals can also use it.

Banks and conversion remain unspecified

A7 has not disclosed which banks will process the transfers, which currencies it will support, or how it will convert USDT into fiat before settlement, according to crypto.news. The Defiant adds that A7's website advertises payouts in dollars, euros, yuan and UAE dirhams. Its terms also say customers must pay applicable banking, blockchain and processing charges on top of the advertised fee.

The company says it serves around 15,000 customers and processes approximately 2,000 transactions daily, across more than 100 countries.

Launch follows US sanctions

The announcement arrives after the US Treasury sanctioned the A7 Network on October 1. The Financial Crimes Enforcement Network (FinCEN) says companies operating as A7 Sub-Agents processed more than $17 billion in transactions between January 2025 and June 2026.

FinCEN has also proposed barring covered US financial institutions from handling funds involving identified sub-agents. The Defiant reports that public comments on the proposal are due Nov. 4.

A7's announcement did not address the sanctions or explain how its SWIFT settlement arrangements would work under them.
