Northwest European gasoline refining margins climbed about $3 to $52 per barrel on Monday.
Physical barge trading of gasoline made from crude oil accompanied the move. Sellers moved roughly 10,000 metric tons of gasoline E5 barges, with Exxon and Equinor selling to Gunvor, Varo, Aramco and Vitol. A further 10,000 metric tons of gasoline E10 barges changed hands, with Totsa and Shell selling to Exxon and Varo.
In the Platts window, Exxon sold an E5 barge to Trafigura. Glencore sold a Mediterranean gasoline cargo to BP, also in the Platts window.
