Eric Trump called reports of a new Trump-linked coin launch fraudulent on Saturday, denying the claim as TRUMP and MELANIA posted double-digit gains over 24 hours. The rumor, which spread on X, cited an unverified 290 ETH wallet on Robinhood Chain but named no ticker or contract.
Eric Trump denied on X that anyone was launching a new Trump-linked coin on Saturday, calling the claim a fraud as TRUMP and MELANIA posted double-digit gains over 24 hours. According to Eric Trump: No one is launching any kind of coin.
The denial followed a Whale Scan post published at 2:39 p.m. ET claiming a new Trump coin was about to launch. The message did not cite an announcement or name a ticker or contract address for the alleged token.
A separate X post at 3:03 p.m. ET claimed a fresh Robinhood Chain wallet had received 290 ETH and was interacting with contracts linked to a Truth Coin token. That post did not name a wallet address or identify who controlled it. Neither post carried an announcement from Trump, Robinhood, or a named token issuer.
TRUMP traded at $2.47, up 37.9% over 24 hours, with a range of $1.79 to $3.60, according to CoinGecko. MELANIA traded at $0.1112, up 18.4%, with a 24-hour range of $0.09085 to $0.1614.
Both tokens sat below their 24-hour highs as the rumor circulated. The market data showed the size of the moves but did not identify their cause, leaving Eric Trump's denial as the only direct statement on the matter.
