Dogecoin gained 4.55% to $0.0888 on August 27 as Bitcoin traded above $80,000, leaving DOGE roughly 1.3% below the $0.09 level that stands between it and a run at $0.10. Dogecoin gained 4.55% to $0.0888 on August 27, as Bitcoin traded above $80,000 during a broader cryptocurrency recovery. The rally left DOGE roughly 1.3% below $0.09, its next psychological hurdle. Reaching $0.10 would require another 12.6% advance from the quoted price.
Bitcoin's rally lifts the broader crypto market
Bitcoin gained 2.28% over 24 hours to $80,215, lagging Dogecoin's percentage increase over the same period. The overall value of cryptocurrencies increased 2.37% to $2.7 trillion. Ethereum surged 2%, BNB increased 1.81%, and XRP gained 5.05%, outperforming both Bitcoin and Dogecoin. CoinMarketCap data put the Fear & Greed reading at 71, in the greed category.
Dogecoin's trading volume topped 880 million over the past 24 hours, up about 10%. Still, activity alone does not confirm a breakout.
Bitcoin and Ether ETFs draw inflows as Dogecoin funds sit flat
On August 26, US spot Bitcoin ETFs raised around $232 million. BlackRock's IBIT accounted for about $201 million of that total. Spot Ether ETFs added $192 million, of which BlackRock's ETHA drew about $116 million. By contrast, a SoSoValue snapshot showed the three tracked Dogecoin funds recorded zero net flows.
Despite the flat flows, shares of those three funds gained between 4.34% and 4.77%. Their combined net assets stood at $12.37 million, with net inflows since inception at $12.44 million.
Technical picture stays tentative below $0.09
Dogecoin's RSI of 53.97 points to modest positive momentum without overbought conditions, while the MACD held a positive 0.001 reading. The session high sat just above $0.0899, keeping resistance near $0.09 intact; a close above that level would strengthen the case for $0.10. A drop below the session low near $0.0846 would undercut the recovery, though $0.08 is not an established support level.
CoinGlass data showed Dogecoin trading volume up 8% to $1.59 billion. Open interest rose 1.99% to $1.41 billion, while options open interest climbed 16.74% to around $1.14 million.
