BNB Chain recorded 12.3 million contract deployments in Q3, nearly tripling from Q2, according to a Blockworks report. Average daily active addresses declined over the same period, and the report does not show how many of the new contracts came from AI agents.
BNB Chain reported 12.3 million smart contract deployments in Q3 2026, up from 4.5 million in Q2. The figures come from Blockworks' Q3 token-holder report, as cited in BNB Chain's October 28 update.
However, the report does not establish how many of the new contracts belong to active decentralized applications, automated deployment systems or AI agents.
Deployments rise while active addresses fall
Contract deployments climbed approximately 173% quarter over quarter, faster than the 13% growth in unique daily deployers, which reached approximately 5,100. Average daily active addresses, meanwhile, declined 14% to 2.10 million from 2.43 million.
New addresses fell 27%, averaging 482,000 per day, while quarterly transactions grew 7.5% to 1.51 billion. Prediction market Predict.fun processed 45.3 million transactions, compared with 2.2 million in Q2.
BNB Agent Studio adds payments and wallet controls
Launched July 1, BNB Agent Studio lets developers describe an AI agent through a prompt and deploy it to BNB Smart Chain with an identity and wallet. The platform shipped four versions in Q3, adding paid data access through x402, agent earnings, TypeScript support and wallet controls.
By early October, BNB Smart Chain recorded 330,604 ERC-8004 agent registrations, approximately 61% of the 544,574 registrations tracked across networks. Registrations do not necessarily represent independently operating applications, and test deployments may register identities without generating sustained economic activity.
Tokenized equities drive revenue
The Blockworks report recorded approximately $25.6 billion in tokenized-equity trading, compared with $2.4 billion in Q2. Network revenue, measured through transaction fees and MEV payments, climbed 54% to $54.2 million.
Other readings were mixed. Stablecoin supply declined 4.6% to $13.22 billion, despite a 31% increase in decentralized stablecoin swap volume.
BNB Chain's remaining 2026 roadmap includes a dedicated payment lane, potential gas-limit increases beyond 70 million and a next-generation blockchain testnet targeted before year-end.
