Bloomberg Terminal now streams 24/7 prices for select Hyperliquid perpetual futures, putting the onchain derivatives venue alongside traditional market references for commodities, equities, indexes, currencies and crypto. The addition lands as HYPE trades above $95, within reach of its all-time high, while a new USDC yield mechanism has sent its first payment to the token's buyback fund.

Bloomberg Adds Hyperliquid Pricing Around the Clock

Bloomberg Terminal now displays 24/7 streaming prices for select Hyperliquid perpetual futures, letting users monitor the onchain derivatives venue outside traditional trading hours. Michael McDonough, Bloomberg's global head of market innovation, said the WSL HYPE <GO> function covers commodities, indexes, equities, currencies and crypto, bringing perp and reference prices into one view.

McDonough introduced the command on Sept. 29. According to The Defiant: "Hyperliquid perps, live on the Terminal," he wrote in a subsequent demonstration posted on Oct. 4 ET. The feature is a price-monitoring worksheet, not a trade-execution service — it does not let users execute Hyperliquid trades through Bloomberg.

Hyperliquid's Scale Behind the Listing

The venue already handles a substantial share of onchain derivatives activity. DefiLlama's dashboard on Oct. 6 showed Hyperliquid with $202.6 billion of the $616.2 billion in reported perpetuals volume tracked over the preceding 30 days. It also showed $8.7 billion in Hyperliquid open interest, against $14.8 billion across the venues it tracks.

These markets run on Hyperliquid's HIP-3 framework, which lets outside developers deploy perpetual markets using its order books and margining system. TradeXYZ, Felix and Ventuals launched equity-linked markets on the framework in November 2025.

A New Buyback Stream Lifts HYPE

Hyperliquid is also adding another funding source for HYPE purchases. The protocol received its first $14.58 million USDC payment under the AQAv2 framework, covering 30 days. Under the mechanism, roughly 90% of cost-adjusted reserve yield generated from USDC supply is shared with Hyperliquid and directed to the Assistance Fund, which buys HYPE.

With roughly $7.3 billion in outstanding USDC supply, Arete Capital Managing Partner McKenna estimated the mechanism could add approximately $200 million in annual revenue at current rates.

HYPE traded above $95 following the developments, putting the $100 level back into focus. The token has since dipped below $93 but remains close to its all-time high of $97.96 set in September. The holder base is expanding too: more than 50,000 wallets now hold over 10 HYPE, the highest figure since Aug. 15.
