U.S. bitcoin ETFs returned to weekly inflows with $304.73 million from Oct. 19 through Oct. 23, after a $229 million withdrawal the previous week. Blackrock's IBIT took in $675.96 million, while ether funds lost $220.60 million.
U.S. bitcoin ETFs recorded $304.73 million in net inflows from Oct. 19 through Oct. 23, reversing the previous week's $229 million withdrawal. The weekly total came despite a sharp reversal late in the week.
Bitcoin ETFs swing from inflows to outflows
Bitcoin ETFs opened the week with $526.60 million on Monday, added $23.16 million Tuesday and took in another $528.40 million on Wednesday. Then the flows turned.
Thursday brought a $635.49 million outflow, the largest since June 25, and another $137.94 million left on Friday. Even so, the week closed ahead of the $228.6 million lost a week earlier.
Blackrock's IBIT leads while other issuers lose money
Blackrock's IBIT drew $675.96 million in net inflows for the week. Other issuers moved the other way: Fidelity's FBTC lost $84.80 million, Ark & 21Shares' ARKB shed $99.64 million and Grayscale's GBTC lost $51.86 million.
By Wednesday, buying had broadened across eight products, but the two-day reversal that followed showed that institutional positioning remains highly tactical, according to the source. That resilience separates bitcoin ETFs from much of the wider crypto ETF market.
Ether and Solana funds stay under pressure
Ether ETFs recorded approximately $220.60 million in weekly outflows, a fourth consecutive negative week. That compared with a withdrawal of roughly $320 million the week before.
SOL ETFs lost $17.30 million, against a $25.52 million outflow the prior week. Zcash funds moved the other way, attracting $41.09 million after losing $19.15 million the week before.
Broader bitcoin inflows across issuers would suggest that Thursday and Friday were mostly profit-taking, while renewed selling across IBIT and FBTC would point to a more fragile recovery.
