U.S. bitcoin ETFs closed Friday with $137.94 million in net outflows after large early-week inflows reversed. Ether ETFs returned to modest inflows, while Zcash and NEAR products were the only other categories to attract fresh capital.
U.S. spot bitcoin ETF products lost $137.94 million on Friday, led by a $110.34 million outflow from Blackrock's IBIT. Fidelity's FBTC shed another $31.78 million. Morgan Stanley's MSBT provided the only inflow, at $4.19 million.
Bitcoin ETFs swing from inflows to selling
Trading value fell to $1.33 billion, while net assets closed at $104.43 billion. The lower turnover follows Thursday's $635.49 million withdrawal, and Bitcoin News says it suggests the most aggressive round of de-risking may have passed.
The week as a whole moved in two directions. Bitcoin ETFs attracted more than $1 billion from Monday through Wednesday. Then $635.49 million left on Thursday and $137.94 million on Friday.
Ether ETFs record a clean inflow day
Ether ETFs, by contrast, took in a $4.35 million net inflow. Fidelity's FETH attracted $3.58 million, and Morgan Stanley's MSSE added $773,440. No ether fund recorded an outflow.
Trading activity totaled $392.93 million, and net assets closed at $14.64 billion. However, the inflow remains small relative to recent withdrawals, which makes Friday more of a stabilization signal than a decisive shift in demand, according to Bitcoin News.
Zcash and NEAR attract capital
Zcash ETFs remained one of the strongest pockets of demand. Grayscale's ZCSH attracted $20.52 million, a third straight day of inflows, and net assets climbed to $706.72 million.
NEAR ETFs also stayed positive, with Bitwise's NRR adding $992,690. XRP, solana and HYPE ETFs recorded no net flows.
Meanwhile, Franklin Templeton registered two new Nasdaq-listed ETFs built around a 95% U.S. equity and 5% bitcoin allocation. Dividends from the equity portion would go into bitcoin exposure, with quarterly rebalancing to manage the allocation.
